
"De Colores" was produced in 1989, during the 25th Anniversary celebration of Los Changuitos Feos. The artistic director was Jorge Bejarano; the production director was José Mendoza.
The mariachi players included Johnny Contreras, Olga Guzman, Mario Trujillo, Julio Montijo, David Gill, Amelia Lopez, Gerardo Bustamante, Michelle Hernandez, and Salvador Gallegos. Other musicians contributing to the album were Sal Gallegos (guitarrón), Estevan Yanes, Antonio Pro, Ana Ruiz (flute), Carl McCurry (saxophone), Lee Lester (synthesizer), José Yebra (trumpet), and Julio Montijo (flute).
