Los Changuitos Feos de Tucson is a youth mariachi group whose multiple purposes are to provide creative and wholesome activity for its members; to develop members' artistic talent and social maturity; to instill in members self esteem and pride in music, language and culture; to develop a sense of community; to promote the City of Tucson; to entertain and bring joy of spirit to others; and to provide college scholarship support to graduating members.

Monies collected for performances are used for the scholarship fund. The group also donates their time and talents to charitable events such as the Cancer Society, the Heart Foundation, churches, and schools.

Los Changuitos Feos is comprised of performance members and apprentices. Performance members serve as apprentices before auditioning to become performing members. Audition is adjudicated by the music director, music instructor, and performing members.

A Board of Directors governs the group. Officers include President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Annual Board elections were held  July 28,2006. Current Board members are:
