I am a mariachi.

I am the strings and wood which makes my guitar.

I am the sound my guitar makes because it has become a part of me over the years.

I am a singer of beautiful and passionate words which reflects a culture all mine own.

I am the church where we often play for everyone to hear.

I represent not only the music, but the culture behind the music which is beautiful.

I practice every day to perfect my talent, because having the passion and talent is not enough to be the best.

I love playing for others. They look with awe and listen with delight while I entertain and amaze them with my songs.

I wear the traditional suit of Mexican revolutionaries, which are decorated with silver buttons and fancy stitching.

I live the life style of a musician because it is what I choose to be.

I don’t do anything to disgrace myself as a musician by drinking or doing drugs. At every gig I play I always have a professional attitude.

I love being called to play for a gig by other groups. It’s more than just getting paid it’s the respect I get from playing and being good.

I love playing a song for a beautiful young lady. She seems to almost fall in love with the romantic lyrics of an old love song.

I never would have been who I am or where I am today if it wasn’t for mi mariachi.
